The Tamworth Board of Selectmen requests proposals for a three year contract for hauling services at the Tamworth Transfer Station. Tonnage specifications can be obtained from calling the Town Office at 603-323-7525 x14.
Proposals should be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked “hauling services” to the Selectmen’s office, 84 Main Street, Tamworth, NH 03886 until May 31, 2012 at 4 p.m. The Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals.

Residents can access this program from the Town's website of tamworthnh.org then by clicking on the icon on the right side of the screen. Once this icon is selected, the applicant will be brought to another site in which they would select the item that they would like to accomplish. Payments can be made by Master Card, Visa, JCB Bank, and Discover or by utilizing your checking account. Please note: the actual MV registration processing takes 3-5 business days and should not be utilized if too close to the end of the renewal month. The processing time for vital records is also 3-5 business days.

Tamwireless, our town’s non-profit internet organization is asking that word be spread to Tamworth residents that internet access is available throughout most of the Town. They have recently begun beaming signals across Chocorua Lake and are asking the many summer residents who might be interested to call Dennis Quinn at 323-2368 or email him at dennis@tamwireless.net

The Town Clerk/Tax Collector’s office is now issuing 2012 dog licensing tags in accordance with RSA 466:4 which requires dogs 4 months and older to be registered with the Town Clerk on or before April 30 of each year. The fee for registering dogs is as follows:
Puppies 4 - 7 months $6.50
Dogs 7 months +
(spayed or neutered) $6.50
Dogs 7 months +
(not spayed or neutered) $9.00
Dog Owners 65+
First Dog only $2.00
Additional Dog (S or N) $6.50
Additional Dog (Not S or N) $9.00
Group License/Kennel
5+ Dogs $20.00
The dog licensing year runs from May 1st to April 30th and the license is effective for that time period regardless of when it is obtained. Dog owners will need to present an updated rabies vaccination certificate that displays a valid expiration date in order to be issued a license tag. If your dog is spayed or neutered that information will also need to be provided.
